Crossword Junior is designed especially to teach younger students how to spell and remember the alphabet. It allows students to recall the alphabet by dragging and dropping letters or pictures to form simple words. The alphabet can be used in either onscreen or keyboard layout and each letter and word is stated aloud in an Australian voice. As a reward, students receive a pinball for every word completed within the puzzle. After a puzzle is solved, a train delivers the pinballs to the Fairy Castle. The more pinballs you collect, the closer the train moves to the Fairy Castle and the "Fireworks Show".
